Our tummies were full and hearts happy last Thursday at Space 24 Twenty. In partnership with local, Peruvian-inspired food truck Killa Wasi, we hosted 25 guests for an intimate dinner experience (aka CHIFA Feast) featuring a totally unique 3-course meal in addition to live music and colorful cocktails.
The weather was just right for this outdoor dinner, which started with ginger garlic plaintain chips and aji amarillo & fennel marinated olives for guests to munch on. First course came out about thirty minutes in, consisting of a super fresh tasting Chifa Tejano Cebiche with redfish, veggies and pistachios. Guests enjoyed Tallarin Saltado for the main course, a roasted hen with spices, fresh pisco and pasta. Lastly, just in time for moonrise, we enjoyed a delicate but rich chocolate pistachio mooncake for dessert topped with lucuma cream.
With $10 from each ticket going to the Houston Food Bank in light of recent flooding events, we raised $250 total!
