UO Live in Austin: Day 1 with Hoops, Diet Cig, Minus the Bear and More at Space 24 Twenty

On Wednesday, March 15th, we kicked off our annual UO Live in Austin concert series at Space 24 Twenty. With the sun shining bright we caught good vibes with some of our favorite bands in the backlot of our space on Guadalupe St.

Hoops kicked off the show with their dreamy brand of melodic Indiana rock, playing cuts from their upcoming debut LP, Routines. Next, Slow Dancer took to the stage with their simmering, soulful balladry, playing old favorites and brand new tracks. Savoy Motel’s psychedelic grooves rocked through the afternoon. Then it was time for two-piece New York pop-punk outfit Diet Cig to take the stage. We’ve never seen dance moves quite that good. With a heady dose of Lynchian pop, Alex Cameron and took over. And to top off the day, Minus the Bear played songs from their latest album VOIDS and old classics as well.

In addition to the music, we had a handful of fun pop-ups on-site thorughout the day. The VERB Beauty Station had free product demos and giveaways. Topo Chico provided free beverages at the Hyrdation Station, and we sold a custom designed tote bag by Manik Raj Nakra with all proceeds going to Barton Springs Conservancy. Our exclusive VH1 Save The Music merch looking good, with all proceeds benefitting the Save The Music Foundation.

We'll be here until Saturday! Click here to see the full schedule and lineup. See you in Austin!
