Join us for Putting Yourself Out There: Self-Care & Social Media

Thursday, May 17th
Doors 6:30pm

In honor of May being Mental Health Awareness Month, we're hosting a panel discussion with creative influencers and mental health advocates, which will touch on how to deal with the constant pressures of social media and how to take care of oneself. In a time when digital media and self-promotion demands so much of our energy, time and attention, this event will explore ways we can bring more balance into our lives and still put ourselves and our creative work out there, all while staying conscious of our own needs and boundaries. As mental illness remains largely stigmatized, this event will foster a much needed open and supportive discussion about the importance of self-care and mindfulness.

Moderated by writer, producer and mental health advocate Sara Radin, featuring panelists:

Sebastian Rosemarie
Model and Sex Educator

Emilia Ortiz
Writer, Spiritual Advisor, and Mental Health Advocate

Sammy Nickalls
Departments Editor at Adweek and creator of #TalkingAboutIt, a hashtag that encourages users to speak as openly about their mental health as they would their physical health

Kim Hoyos
Filmmaker and founder of The Light Leaks, an online community for female and non-binary filmmakers
